Editorial policy
Silver Music Spotlight aims to make music writing clear, accurate and enjoyable to read. We explain how articles are prepared and how we handle updates, outside support and illustrations.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable sources before publication and take care with names, terminology and historical context. When a point is uncertain or interpretations differ, we say so rather than presenting one reading as settled fact.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader and the subject, not to promise favourable coverage. Any relevant relationship that could affect an article is disclosed alongside that material.
Corrections and updates
If you spot a possible error, please use the Contact page and identify the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update published material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so it can be distinguished from editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary images.
Curiosity is a good place to start listening
There is no test to pass before enjoying a song. We offer clear ways to notice its choices, with room for different ears and tastes.
